How to backup

There are a couple of things you can do to protect yourself from any of these things from happening. Most people backup their files in one of two ways: to an external drive, or somewhere on the Internet.

ProTip: Always have an IT company on standby in case you have questions or are worried about your set up.

Mac Backups:

First, plug in your USB hard drive. Then, follow the instructions below to start automatically backing up your Mac!

Pro Tip: Make sure your new USB drive is completely empty!

  1. Open the  menu (in the top left of your screen) and choose System Preferences.
  2. Click on “Time Machine”.
  3. Click “Select Disk”.
  4. Choose your USB hard drive from the list and select “Use Disk”.

Windows Backups:

  1. Open your start screen and start typing “file history settings”.
  2. In the search results panel, tap or click “File History Settings”.
  3. Tap or click “Select a drive”.
  4. Choose your external hard drive from the list.
  5. Click “Turn on”.

Easy as pie.

Azure Cloud - Station 28

Did you know organizations all over the world recognize Azure over AWS as the most trusted cloud?

Azure is the cloud that helps protect your work. Forever.

Azure Cloud - Station 28

What even is AWS?

AWS (aka) Amazon Web Services, is a secure cloud services platform, offering compute power, database storage, content delivery and other functionality to help businesses scale and grow. Now, we know what you're thinking... "I trust Amazon for everything, why would I go with Azure?"

Our Reasoning

When you compare AWS versus Azure, you’ll find that Azure has more comprehensive compliance coverage with more than 70 compliance offerings, and was the first major cloud provider to contractually commit to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). To protect your organization, Azure embeds security, privacy, and compliance into its development methodology, and has been recognized as the most trusted cloud for U.S. government institutions, earning a FedRAMP High authorization that covers 18 Azure services. In addition, Azure IP Advantage provides best-in-industry intellectual property protection, so you can focus on innovation, instead of worrying about baseless lawsuits.

Build faster with the leading cloud platform

Rely on the only cloud provider recognized in the industry as having leading solutions in infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and platform as a service (PaaS)—in fact, according to this Forrester Total Economic Impact study, you’ll be more productive and increase your ROI with Azure PaaS services. Turn your ideas into solutions faster with more than 100 services, end-to-end management experiences, and app delivery with agile development practices.

Take your Azure investments further with the Microsoft Cloud

Get even more value out of your investment in Azure by using one of our industry-leading SaaS services, including Office 365, Dynamics 365, and Enterprise Mobility + Security. Azure shares many foundational capabilities with these services, such as identity management through Azure Active Directory and mobile device management through Intune.

CTO VS CIO

The Cheif Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Informations Officer (CIO) could have two seperate titles, but are they one in the same? Quite frankly, it all comes down to company size and whether or not you need both positions.

What is a cloud MSP?

TRADITIONAL MSP VS. CLOUD MSP

The pivot from traditional to cloud managed services

Managed services is not a new business model. For more than 20 years,  large enterprises have relied on service providers to manage their IT assets.  Whether you call them an Outsourcer, an RMM provider, or a Managed I T provider, service providers have been managing their customers’  workloads—either in their own data centers or those operated by their  customers.  Cloud, however, requires a new method of management because of its  focus on scale, elasticity, and automation. For CIOs, cloud represents  a paradigm shift in the way they think about embracing IT.  Dev-ops  has completely changed the way applications are developed and  maintained.

What is the history behind Station 28?

Well like most stories begin, it all started at a bar. Previous President Kris Meir, current CEO Chris Anderson, and CTO Geoff Sandner were casually enjoying their evening when they decided to brainstorm business name ideas. They started to talk through some ideas, ultimately coming up with a technology term and something relating to Buffalo.
